SUPREME COMMANDER ONLINE TOURNAMENT:
THE AEON ASCENDANT
ANNOUNCEMENT AND DESCRIPTION
Gas Powered Games Corp. is pleased to announce an online prize tournament for the Aeon Ascendant, a Supreme Commander tournament via GPGnet, (the "Tournament"). There will be three (3) prize divisions determined by player rating: Open, Intermediate and Commander Class. The Tournament will be a six (6) round, Swiss System Pairing Tournament with all players guaranteed to play six (6) games. The Tournament will be played on October 27th and 28th, 2007.
Eligibility: The Tournament is open only to individuals who at the time of entry: (i) are legal residents of the United States (excluding residents of Florida, New York, and Rhode Island), Canada (excluding residents of Quebec), Mexico, or the following member states of the European Union (Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, Luxemburg, The Netherlands, Spain, and Sweden); (ii) are at least sixteen (16) years of age; (iii) have a personal computer that meets the recommended published requirements to run Supreme Commander; (iv) have Supreme Commander with the most recent patch applied; (v) a GPGnet account (required to access the online multiplayer component of Supreme Commander); (vi) a stable broadband Internet connection; and (vii) have played at least twenty (20) ranked games. All new players who join the ranked play after the Tournament's announcement must play in the Open division and are eligible for prizes only in that division. Individuals under the age of eighteen (18) at the time of entry may only enter if they have the express permission of a parent or legal guardian to enter and participate. Directors, officers and employees of Sponsor and any of its respective affiliate companies, subsidiaries, agents, professional advisors, advertising and promotional agencies, and immediate families of each are not eligible to enter any Tournament or win any prizes. No Purchase Necessary. Other than the costs incurred in purchasing Supreme Commander, there are no additional purchases or costs necessary to enter or win. YOU MAY COMPETE IN THE TOURNAMENT AND/OR WIN A PRIZE ONLY IF IT IS LEGAL TO DO SO IN YOUR COUNTRY, STATE/PROVINCE, AND LOCALITY. IF IT IS NOT LEGAL FOR YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TOURNAMENT, ANY PRIZE FOR WHICH YOU ARE ELIGIBLE WILL BE VOID AND YOU MAY BE BARRED FROM FUTURE GPGNET PLAY.
Entry: Tournament registration will begin August 22nd, 2007. You may enter the Tournament via the GPGnet Tournament Calendar, until twenty-four (24) hours before the first round is scheduled to commence in your region, at which time the entries will be closed. There is no entry fee and all are welcome to enter. Chances of winning depend on the number of eligible participants.
